As designers, we spend hours testing undertones, studying light, and finding colors that feel lived-in from day one. It’s a process, and one we poured into our Free Paint Guide: 15+ tried-and-true shades, two complete palettes, and our personal notes on where and how to use them.

Kicking off a holiday series with a little nostalgia. My mom had every Martha Stewart book growing up (btw, did you hear they are re-releasing her iconic Entertaining book?!).

Friends and family still call her “Martha,” and honestly, that’s where my love for hosting comes from. She always made our home feel special without overdoing it. Handmade, layered, and full of festive memories.

This year I want to lean into that old-school Martha era that feels right to us. We’re not decorating a full house this year, so we’re keeping it simple... but elegantly like Martha would do. Maybe a tree with one beautiful bow, white twinkle lights, and pillar candles across the mantle. It’s those natural, meaningful touches that make a home feel like Christmas.

Who remembers her iconic gingerbread mansion (yep, my mom made it 😂)! That kind of cozy creativity will always be the vibe for me. Check out our Pinterest for more holiday inspiration if you’re craving ideas that feel timeless, collected, and a little nostalgic.
