I know... everyone wants to tackle the kitchen, the bathrooms, the furniture, the lighting—all at once. I get it. But I’ve watched so many people get burnt out trying to make hundreds of decisions across five different spaces. At some point, you stop enjoying the process and start second-guessing everything.
One finished room changes that. Not because your house suddenly feels “done” (it doesn’t), but because it gives you confidence.
You start learning what you actually love to live with, and every room after that gets a little easier.

Most homeowners spend months choosing countertops, paint colors, and furniture… then rush through the window treatments at the very end.
It’s one of the biggest missed opportunities in a home.
I’ve always believed that the way a home feels is often determined by the details people overlook. The morning light filtering through a window. The way a room feels at dusk. The softness that comes from layered textures rather than hard surfaces alone.
Window treatments play a much bigger role in that than most people realize.
As we’ve renovated our own homes over the years, I’ve become a little obsessed with studying them. Roman shades. Woven woods. Café curtains. Drapery. Not just how they look, but how they change the mood of a space and the experience of living there.
What I’ve learned is that the best window treatments don’t call attention to themselves. They simply make a room feel better. Warmer. Softer. More finished.
