An Interior Designer’s List of Reliable Etsy Vendors

If you’ve been following along here at Clouz Houz for a while, you already know how much I love Etsy. Every Monday, I share my “Etsy Find of the Week” on Instagram, so make sure you’ve got those notifications turned on for CH! But today, I’m going beyond a single find and diving into some of my all-time favorite Etsy vendors.

It’s no secret that we sourced a lot of materials from different vendors across the globe to style and furnish our Tumalo home. From plumbing and lighting fixtures to antiques and handmade items, Etsy has been a treasure trove of unique, high-quality pieces that have helped bring our vision to life.

One of the things I love most about Etsy is that it’s a one-stop shop for just about anything you could need for your home. But, what makes it even more special is knowing that by shopping there, I’m supporting other small business owners.

Clouz Houz tip: Now, if you’re ready to dive into the world of Etsy and find those hidden gems, let me share a little insider tip: the key to a successful Etsy search is knowing the right keywords. Here are a few of my go-to phrases:

  • Vintage Lighting
  • Handmade Kilims
  • Custom Steel Drapery Rods
  • French Antiques

These are the shops I can personally vouch for — vendors who offer responsive customer service and quality craftsmanship. When I recommend them, I do so with confidence, knowing that they’ll deliver items that are as beautiful and well-made as they appear online.

So, if you’re ready to dive into the world of Etsy, here’s a list of my approved vendors. These are the shops I’ve come to trust and love, and I’m confident you’ll find something special too. Happy shopping!

Antique Furniture Pieces

Fox Den Boutique: I stumbled upon this gem of a shop while searching for the perfect butcher block kitchen island for our home. We were over the cookie-cutter designs from big chain stores, and wanted something with a bit more character. We ended up having ours locally made, but this shop has some STUNNING pieces! They offer an incredible selection of antique wooden pieces — everything from vanities and kitchen islands to armoires and cabinets. Each piece is unique, with that perfect blend of vintage charm and craftsmanship.

Durable Hardware

Paso Robles Ironworks: When it came time to hang our drapery panels (which I found at H&M—more on that later!), I knew I wanted something custom but didn’t want to break the bank. That’s when I found Iron Works. They make drapery rods to order, so you can customize them to fit your exact needs. The result? A super chic look that gives off all the vibes of high-end custom drapery hardware, but at a fraction of the cost. It’s an easy way to elevate any space without overspending.

Lighting

For our home, we turned to several incredible Etsy shops for lighting. Mullan Lighting, a larger manufacturer with an Etsy presence, provided us with high-quality fixtures that perfectly matched our vision. We also found unique pieces from Olde Brick Lighting, Bryandshop, and Smile Lamp Works. Each of these shops offers something special, from rustic to modern designs, and ensures a special ambiance for any space.

Eclectic Rugs

If you’ve seen the kilims in our Rumpus room, living room, or guest rooms and thought, “Where on earth did they find those?” — let me introduce you to Eclectic Rug. We scored these gems on Etsy, and honestly, Etsy is like rug heaven. They’ve got the best quality, authentic kilims, and a ton of unique styles.

Pillow Covers & Cushions

When it comes to pillow covers, we’ve tried out more than a few vendors and found some real gems. Flying Tack, Bo And An Studio, Hand Crafted By Misa, and Sew and Cloth are all top-notch for pillow covers. Seriously, once you’ve got your inserts, it’s so easy to justify a little pillow refresh — especially when the prices are this good! Custom pillows without breaking the bank? Yes, please!

We’ve recently discovered My Chateau Store and are seriously considering them to recover our dining chairs. They offer gorgeous seat cushions for chairs and benches, along with napkins, tablecloths, and curtains in both standard and custom sizes. If you’re looking to give your dining room a fresh look, this place should be your next stop!

Atter designing more kitchen renovations than I could ever count (and recently finishing renovating our own kitchen) I can tell you that where you invest matters. Not because every kitchen needs the highest-end everything, but because some decisions have a much bigger impact on how the space functions and feels over time.

When clients are planning a renovation, it’s easy to get pulled toward the finishes. The paint colors, the hardware, the details that photograph well.

But the conversations we spend the most time on are usually about the things that will affect daily life for years to come.

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about hiring a designer is that people assume our clients don’t know what they want. In reality, most of them know exactly what they want.

They know they want a kitchen that feels warm and collected.
They know they want a patio they’ll actually use.
They know they want a home that feels finished.

What they don’t know is whether the white oak cabinets work with the soapstone counters they pinned six months ago. Or if the layout they’re considering is going to annoy them every single day once it’s built.

That’s where we come in. Not because you can’t make decisions. Because some decisions are expensive.
And it’s nice to have someone thinking through all the details before you start ordering materials and moving walls.

So, If you’ve ever looked through our portfolio and thought, “I want my house to feel like that, “this service was designed for you! Or you can explore our other offerings on our website and schedule a discovery call to determine which one is the perfect fit for you!
I know my routines, what I reach for daily, how I want a space to function for me. That part makes designing for myself feel easy. (But making decisions for myself is where things get tricky LOL).

The difference is, I know what’s a non-negotiable for me. I know what actually matters day to day, not just what looks good.

And that’s really how I approach client work too.
It’s not just about picking beautiful pieces. It’s about asking the right questions, understanding how you live, and reading between the lines a bit. What you say you want... and what you actually need can be two different things.

That’s where we come in. We help make sense of it all so your home doesn’t just look good, it works for you in a way that feels natural.
