We all know it’s the go-to for the basics—beauty staples, chargers that mysteriously disappear, and random gadgets we didn’t even know we needed (but somehow, we did). But, when it comes to home finds that actually feel cool? Like, the kind that don’t scream Amazon but instead have that perfectly imperfect, lived-in, kind of vibe? That’s where it gets tricky.

Struggling to find “designer-worthy” home goods on Amazon?
I’ve spent way too much time sifting through endless pages of same-same mass-produced stuff … but there are some gems too. Pieces that feel rugged, cozy, intentional. Not just decor that fills a space, but things that make a space.
And yeah, we’re throwing in some lifestyle finds, too, because Amazon is low-key a goldmine for unexpectedly good fashion, beauty, and style staples. These are the finds I come back to again and again, the ones I buy, rebuy, and send to friends.
So, here are 16 things I can’t believe are this good. Full of character, tried and true favorites — and the opposite of basic.

Fashion Finds That Don’t Look Amazon (But Are)
If there’s one thing I love, it’s a surprisingly good Amazon fashion find—the kind that feels expensive, but with a price tag that still lets me get a good night’s sleep.
Resort Wear
This crochet cover-up is the perfect example. I’ve mentioned this Amazon purchase before over in our newsletter (subscribe here to be the first to know our CH faves), and I thought with spring break in about a month, it would be a good time to mention it again. I actually just re-purchased it — but in the hot pink version!! As someone who likes when cover-ups actually cover-me-up, this one has the perfect amount of cutouts that make you feel secure but still playful. Currently eyeing the khaki color … when I find something this good I buy multiples. This is the perfect cover up for your next vacation. Love that I can throw on after a day at the pool and still look cute for happy hour!
Arm Candy
And, if you love a woven moment, this cream woven clutch is the kind of bag that goes with everything. Woven bags might just be the purse for the spring. I have this in my cart currently—perfect for dinners, or a handful of spring special occasions: vacation, Easter, Mother’s Day, or graduation!
Jewelry-wise, I’m a sucker for simple gold pieces that feel classic but not boring. I wore this gold studded bangle the other day, and someone mentioned that it looked designer and they had no idea it was only $12. And, I love to stack it with my David Yurman toggle bracelet Derrick gave me years ago for a layered, everyday look. Just ordered the silver version 😉
Home Finds That Feel Collected
Rustic Vase
This aged ceramic vase is really good. It has that old-world, vintage European feel; it’s the kind of piece that looks amazing with branches, fresh florals, or even left empty on a shelf. It looks like an antique, definitely a good option IMO. Honestly, this looks like something I’d buy at a boutique home store. It really is that good, and can’t beat this price.
Glass Hurricanes
One of my spring/summer essentials? These glass hurricanes. They’re my go-to for outdoor entertaining—just add a candle, and suddenly your backyard setup looks effortless and cozy. But honestly? I use them year-round. Even in winter, they’re magical with flickering candlelight on your dining table. They come in a variety of sizes which is ideal for adding height. I’m using them for a dinner party I’m throwing next week for with my Galentines.
Martini Table
I’m also a huge fan of unexpected sculptural elements, and this black metal accent table is one of the most versatile pieces that works anywhere in our home—next to a reading chair, styled for setting a cocktail next to a sofa, or even as a nightstand in a small bedroom. This is one of those pieces you will find moving around your home — it’s so easy to tuck it anywhere and everywhere!
Wood Mirror that Looks Like A Million Bucks
If you’re looking for a mirror that doesn’t feel builder-basic, this beaded wood mirror has texture, warmth, and just enough detail to make it interesting. It’s the kind of piece that works in an entryway, above a dresser, or layered on a gallery wall.
Charming Ambiance
And, because who doesn’t love a good lighting moment, this brass task floor lamp is too good. I have a similar pair that I paid wayyy too much for, so I’m wishing I’d had someone telling me in a blog post to go for this one!
My Recent Purchases
Just picked up a few things I’ve had saved forever—this linen napkin set, the cluster nickel bowls, these neutral fringed pillows, and a marble serving tray. Notice a theme? I kept it fairly neutral, which is my biggest tip for making Amazon finds look more expensive.
Clouz Houz tip: If you want to avoid that cheap, mass-produced feel, stick to a neutral color palette. It’s the easiest way to ensure things look timeless, feel cohesive, and can mix seamlessly with vintage or higher-end pieces.
