The January Edit: A Fresh Start

Happy New Year friends! I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has been following along on our journey. The support and words of affirmation have helped us come a long way, and I greatly look forward to this upcoming year. We’re thinking of fresh ways we can improve as a business and fine tune our processes and services to make our client experience invaluable for you all. Whether you are taking on new projects or are simply here for the inspo and tips, we love helping any way we can.

This month is all about embracing intention—living with purpose, surrounding ourselves with pieces that feel meaningful, and creating spaces that truly reflect who we are. As I step into the new year, I’ve been thinking about how much power there is in slowing down, in choosing quality over quantity, and in curating a life that feels deeply aligned with what matters most. It’s not about perfection or chasing trends. It’s about leaning into the beauty of the everyday, finding joy in the small things, and making choices that support the life we want to build. I hope this month’s edit inspires you to do the same: to refresh your home, your style, and your mindset in ways that feel intentional, personal, and entirely you.

Color of the Month: Farrow & Ball ‘Light Blue’

Clouz Houz | Farrow & Ball 'Light Blue' | Paint Colors | Interior Designer

There’s something about Farrow & Ball’s ‘Light Blue’ that feels soothing and fresh at the same time. I’ve recommended it to a few clients recently, and every time we use it, it completely transforms the space. We’re incorporating it into a kitchen right now, and I have to say, it’s such a beautiful choice! It adds life and personality to the room without being overpowering. It’s one of those shades that feels like a winter blue, serene and calming. But, it’s also incredibly versatile and timeless, making it perfect for every season. I love how authentic it feels, especially in this client’s home. It brings a sense of charm and lightness that aligns so effortlessly with their personal style.

If you’re looking for a way to refresh your space in the new year, consider playing with a color like this. It’s not a bold statement, but it’s enough to spice things up and give a room a whole new energy. Whether it’s on cabinetry, walls, or even just a piece of furniture, ‘Light Blue’ feels like a breath of fresh air—classic, but never boring.

Wallpaper Feature

Clouz Houz | Bend, Oregon | Interior Design | Wallpaper | Mountain Modern

I’ve always been drawn to wallpaper that feels like art, and ‘Les Cimes Bespoke’ or ‘The Bespoke Peaks’ from Isidore Leroy is no exception. There’s just something magical about its soft mountain setting—it’s as if you’re bringing a piece of the outdoors inside. This design feels especially fitting for a cozy winter home. But, it’s versatile enough to work year-round, adding depth and texture to any room. I’m picturing it in a dining room or even a small powder bath, paired with antique brass fixtures and warm wood tones.

For the Home: Fresh, Timeless Touches

Plaid Pillow: A Soft Step Into Spring

Clouz Houz | Bend, Oregon | Interior Design Studio | Throw Pillow | spring pillows | The Citizenry

With its deep, saturated navy hue and hand-stitched motifs, this pillow is the perfect way to refresh your space as we transition from winter into spring. The subtle fringe detailing adds just enough texture to keep things interesting without feeling too heavy. I always say a new season doesn’t require a complete overhaul—start small. Swapping out pillows is the easiest way to breathe new life into your living room or bedroom. This one feels fresh, cozy, and perfectly curated for the months ahead.

Vintage Brass Cabinet Handle: Functional Luxury

Clouz Houz | Bend, Oregon | Interior Design Studio | Vintage Brass Bistro Cabinet Handle

Investing in high-quality hardware is one of the simplest ways to elevate your home this year. These vintage brass cabinet handles bring timeless functionality and a touch of warmth to any space. Whether it’s your kitchen, a built-in bar, or a favorite piece of furniture, give them a try! Hardware like this can easily transform a vanity or cabinet with minimal effort, and give it a fresh look. It’s proof that even the smallest details make a big difference.

Light Beige Ceramic Vase: A Quiet Icon

Clouz Houz | Bend, Oregon | Interior Design | Vase Athena Calderone

This piece from Athena Calderone’s collection for Crate & Barrel was an instant favorite. It’s simple yet striking, a vase that stands on its own (it’s 14″ tall) but also plays beautifully with others. Whether styled on a console table or as the centerpiece for a dining table, it’s an item you’ll want to reach for again and again. I want everything from this collection, but this vase feels like the perfect starting point.

Alabaster Coasters: Jewelry for Your Coffee Table

Clouz Houz | Interior Design Studio | Bend, Oregon | Oni White Alabaster Coasters

I’ve had these coasters for a while now, and they still make me smile every time I see them. They would go with ANY coffee table “story.” There’s something luxurious about their weight and texture—it feels like you’re adding a little bit of jewelry to your home. Pair them with the champagne flute set (keep reading to see them) for an elevated moment that feels indulgent yet practical.

Stainless Steel Ice Bucket: Bold Barware

Clouz Houz | Bend, Oregon | Interior Design | Milano Modern Stainless Steel Ice Bucket

Why not give your bar a bold refresh for the new year? This stainless steel ice bucket makes a statement all on its own. I’m thinking a fully styled bar cart with this bucket as the centerpiece. Just add some vintage glassware and a few good bottles, and you’ve got a space that’s as functional as it is fabulous.

Silver Vintage Candlesticks: Shining Accents

Clouz Houz | Bend, Oregon | Interior Design Studio | Early 21st Century Silver Plated Candlestick Holders | Vintage Home Decor

Silver and chrome are making a comeback, and I’m all for it! These vintage candlesticks add a sleek yet timeless vibe to your décor. Picture them on a dining table, paired with crisp linens and soft candlelight, creating the kind of ambiance that feels both inviting and elegant. These are one of a kind — the type of pieces that people will want to know where you found them!

Lifestyle: Moments of Indulgence

Room Spray

Clouz Houz | Bend, Oregon | Interior Design Studio | Room Spray

This room spray feels like a small ritual in a bottle. The handcrafted ridged glass and traditional pump give it a vintage charm, while the scent transforms your space into something serene and indulgent. Anything with a hint of grapefruit is my fave … and I love the idea of filling our home with this scent during the cold winter months. Instant mood booster! This is a little moment of luxury you can enjoy every day—perfect for setting the tone in your home.

Champagne Flute Set: Cheers to the New Year

Clouz Hous | January Edit | Angel set of four glass champagne flutes

My inner hostess couldn’t resist these. There’s nothing like splurging on beautiful glassware to make even the simplest moments feel special. These flutes are elegant and timeless—a perfect addition to your bar cart or dinner table. Pair them with the alabaster coasters for a polished, coordinated look.

Rustic Floral Napkins

Clouz Houz | January Edit | Tree of Life Napkin Set Bordeaux Floral | Ulla Johnson

I’m obsessing over these napkins from Ulla Johnson. She’s a favorite fashion designer of mine, and I love that she’s doing more and more table accents! Did you know red is having a moment — and no, not just for the holidays? It’s a bold, classic color that is always in style. Can you imagine these for a Valentine’s tablescape?!? Yes please!  These floral napkins bring a fresh, artisanal vibe to any table setting. Whether it’s a last-minute dinner or a casual brunch, having a table set and ready feels like the ultimate in thoughtful entertaining.

Fashion: Elevated Essentials

Cowhide Suede Ankle Boot

Clouz Houz | Interior Design | Bend, Oregon | Wally Ankle Boots | Suede Boot | Kitten Boot

Okay, confession time, I bought these boots back in the fall for a photo shoot, but in the tall version. I loved them, but decided to exchange for the bootie style — I just think they are more versatile! They’re perfect for this in-between season—warm enough to finish out winter, but light and versatile enough to carry me straight into spring. I’ve been pairing them with oversized knits and denim lately, but I’m already dreaming of flowy dresses and trench coats come March. The rich suede and subtle heel make them feel polished without trying too hard—a little bit of effortlessness that goes with everything. Truly one of those pieces that I know I’ll keep coming back to year after year.

Red Chanel Bag: “Treat Yourself”

Clouz Houz | Bend, Oregon | Interior Design | Caviar Timeless Vanity Case | Chanel | Designer Bags

I’m calling it—red is the color of the season. This vintage Chanel bag is a little luxury that feels bold and timeless, perfect for travel or as a statement piece for everyday use. Makeup bags and toiletry cases are items you’ll have forever, so why not invest in one that feels as special as this?

Beauty & Wellness: A Fresh Start

Brightening Eye Masks: “Revitalize Your Routine”

This year, self-care is at the top of my list, and these eye masks are the perfect way to start. They’re a quick, easy refresh that leaves you feeling awake and revitalized—perfect for early mornings or winding down after a long day. This little ritual feels like a gift to yourself, one that sets the tone for a year of putting your well-being first.

To Be Magnetic Podcast

‘The Expanded Podcast’ created by To Be Magnetic is the go-to podcast for grounded manifestation. Tune in weekly for deep dives into our process, with powerful manifestation stories from Pathway members. There are also interviews with industry experts, and expanders who will help you “see to believe” what’s possible. I have been listening to this a lot recently, and I value how it has really shifted my mindset.

Looking ahead at the new year, I want to better myself and lean into becoming the best version of myself possible. Exercise consistently, read more, open my eyes to different perspectives, etc. I know everyone always says that and doesn’t stick with it, but that’s why I love podcasts like this. It truly motivates you, and gives inspiring new ways to stay focused and determined. Especially in this business — we need the constant clarity and validation of our work. The vision has to be there.

***

What a year it has been! As I sit here reflecting on everything we’ve experienced and accomplished, I’m reminded of how quickly time moves and how important it is to savor the journey. Now, as we turn the page to 2025, it’s time to start chasing those new goals—big and small. I’m excited for a fresh perspective on what’s ahead. My goal is to continue to create beautiful spaces that bring joy and meaning to the lives of those who live in them.

Life is short. Make it beautiful❤️

Step inside the Lake Oswego Bungalow Lookbook🤎
This project already had such good bones, an absolute gem of a cottage in one of the most charming Lake Oswego neighborhoods. We weren’t here to renovate; this one was all about bringing in warmth, comfort, and character through furniture, styling, and a few cosmetic touches like wallpaper and lighting updates.
If you ask me what is one way to update your home without a lot of renovating, it’s furniture and styling! 100%!! We furnished the entry, living room, family room, primary suite, office den, and a few guest spaces. It was truly a full home furnishings project, and I can’t wait to dive into the details of what we did in each of these rooms. This is just a little peek behind the curtain!
Some of our favorite projects are the ones where we get to come in and reimagine the layout and feel of a space through furniture and accents. A fresh start without the full remodel-just the right edits to make your home feel like you.
We’re currently accepting clients for Q4 (aka the perfect time to get going once the kids are back in school and you’re ready to reset for the new year). Message us if you’re thinking about starting a project-we’d love to bring your space to life.
Comment ‘STYLE’ and I’ll DM you the link to explore all five. You can also find them in our LTK shop under product collections anytime.
I created these Design Guides because I know firsthand that design help can feel out of reach. If I weren’t a designer, I’m not sure I could afford to hire one myself-and that’s exactly why this mattered so much to me.
I believe your home should feel beautiful, personal, and pulled together without needing a huge budget or endless time to figure it all out. These guides are here to be your roadmap. And although I can’t say it completely replaces a designer, it’s a great tool to help those who are designing on their own. These guides are complete with curated furniture picks, paint palettes, styling tips, and layouts designed to take the guesswork out of the process.
They’re not just moodboards-they’re permission to start. Direction when you’re stuck. And support when you want your space to reflect you.
If you’ve ever stood in your living room and said, “I just wish someone would tell me what works”... I made these for you.
And if you still feel like you’re stuck or unsure what’s next, that’s okay too. We offer 1-hour consults, Designer for a Day sessions, and more—so you never have to navigate it alone. Head to the link in bio to learn more about our services and see how we can support you further
Summer Cherry Panzanella 🍒
I love a panzanella salad in the summer… but this one is even better by adding cherries! Never would I have thought to include them but they give a delicious twist to this classic! And the hot honey champagne vinaigrette? She pulls it all together with just the right balance of sweet heat and acidity. And of course, my personal fave, creamy burrata- I can’t get enough!!
Make sure you save this + here’s how to make it:
Ingredients:
For the salad:
• 2 slices sourdough bread, cut into 1” cubes (about 2 cups)
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 ½ cups halved cherries
• 1 cup thinly sliced cucumbers
• ½ cup watermelon radishes, quartered and thinly sliced
• 1 ¼ cup cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
• 1 small shallot, thinly sliced
• ¼ cup thinly sliced basil
• 1 ½ tbsp roughly chopped mint
• 4–6 oz burrata
• Optional: a pinch of aleppo pepper or crushed red pepper
For the dressing:
• 2 ½ tbsp champagne vinegar
• 2 ½ tbsp olive oil
• ½ tsp Dijon mustard
• ½ tsp hot honey (or regular honey)
• Pinch of salt and pepper
How to Make It-
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. On a parchment-lined sheet, toss your sourdough cubes with olive oil, minced garlic. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden and crisp on the outside but still a little soft inside.
2. In a large bowl, gently toss together the toasted bread, cherries, cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes, shallots, basil, and mint.
3. In a small jar or bowl, whisk the champagne vinegar, olive oil, Dijon, hot honey, salt, and pepper until smooth and emulsified.
4. Transfer the salad to a serving platter, tear the burrata over the top, drizzle with vinaigrette, and finish with a sprinkle of aleppo or red pepper if you’re into a little kick.
