The Perfect Father’s Day Gift: From Sentimental to Practical

Dads can be notoriously tricky to shop for. Whenever you bring up gifts, they always seem to say, “I don’t need anything” or “save your money!” At least that’s how Derrick is. If the dad in your life isn’t into material gifts, consider going the sentimental route, or focusing on an experience you both can enjoy together. Concerts, trips, or even a fun day out can show your love and appreciation in a way that creates lasting memories. That’s what’s so nice about gifting experiences — there’s nothing better than creating fun memories. After all, the perfect gift brings joy and happy moments!

If you’re looking for something to pair with your sweet experience gift, or just need some help brainstorming, I’ve got you covered. These are things that most guys would love and, to be honest, need — whether they like to admit it or not. Trust me, you can’t go wrong with any of these ideas.

So, let’s dive in and find that perfect gift to make Father’s Day extra special this year!

1. Frame TV

Dad’s love their tech gifts (and technically this could even be a gift for yourself — bonus!). Look at the streamlined look of the Frame TV — it blends in nicely with any home aesthetic, and can even act as art! It’s a win-win.

2. Higher Dose Mat

Dads never really seem to actually seek out relaxation. This genius product grounds you in earth’s magnetic field for a full-body reset, while infrared light promotes enhanced blood flow and improved muscle recovery. And, let’s be honest, as they get older, this could be really beneficial! Technology nowadays is so cool. We have one and it truly is like an at-home spa 😊

3. Yeti Backpack Cooler

Convenient and guaranteed to be used all summer long. The backpack design is such a clever idea for keeping everything hands-free!

4. Tommy Bahama Swim Trunks or J. Crew Seersucker Trunks

Here are two options depending on his style: a funky pair fit for a tropical vacation, and a more minimalist seersucker one for a low-key coastal vibe. If you happen to be giving the gift of an adventure or vacation, throw these in as a nice hint at what their gift might be. Regardless of a trip, swim trunks are a summer necessity and you can have fun with this gift and go crazy with the prints!

5. Sunglasses

A no-brainer. He might already have a pair, but I swear men lose their sunglasses all the time. It never hurts to give them the perfect new pair!

6. Picture Frame

I am the biggest proponent of these CB2 frames. In my opinion, one of the sweetest gifts you can give a dad is a framed picture from a happy memory that you two have together.

7. Cornhole

A fun gift that sparks conversation, creates memories, and allows you to be outside! Cornhole is the perfect gift if you’re looking to get competitive.

8. Slides/Sandals

Summer shoes are always nice to receive, and they’re an item that can get boring for guys to purchase on their own. I’ve been loving sandals this season, and it makes outfits feel more summery!

9. The Perfect Summer Shirt

Go the safe route and look for a new nice shirt that is versatile! It’s always a welcome addition to any wardrobe.

10. Hot Sauce

For the cook! These are so yummy and make for an easy and simple gift.

11. Passport Holder

If you’re going somewhere fun anytime soon, this is thoughtful and personal. It’s practical and keeps them feeling organized and in check — plus maybe a little “extra.”

12. Whiskey Barrel

Any guy would be excited to receive one of these! Perfect for their man cave and to show off to their friends. Love the tabletop design.

We look to the dads in our lives for guidance and wisdom; they’ve been our rocks, our mentors, and our biggest supporters. This Father’s Day, let’s show them just how much they mean to us with thoughtful gifts that make them feel loved and appreciated. Whether big or small, no gift goes unnoticed by dads. It’s the gesture and the sentiment behind it that counts the most. Here’s to celebrating all the amazing dads out there — thank you for everything you do!

The High Desert Tumalo Ranch:
Kitchen Reveal

So excited to finally start sharing the final reveal of the Tumalo house as we move in today! Yep, the long-awaited, two-year journey has led us here. When we first embarked on this project, we never imagined we’d be calling the Tumalo Ranch “home.” It has been a roller coaster, but we have so much to share 😊 Let’s kick off the series with the heart of the home: the kitchen!

This kitchen turned out so organic and rustic. I love how charming it feels with its natural stone tile, leather cabinet hardware, and windows facing the front yard. It’s easy to romanticize cooking when you have an intentionally designed, small yet functional space to work in. If you want to read up why we made some of the decisions that we did, read our blog post from way back, when we had just drawn up the kitchen plans. But now, let’s get into all the details on how we planned out the design of this space.

The Perfect Farmhouse Prep Space

We knew that a kitchen island wasn’t going to be in the books for this project, but we just couldn’t live without some added space for prep. A while back, we mentioned that we would be bringing in a table of our own to act as an island, and I found the most perfect-sized farmhouse-style table from a local artisan. I love that it has a bottom shelf for storing extra pots and pans! We will use the top for prepping food and just another surface when setting food out for entertaining!

Check out our blog post, “What To Do When An Island Just Won’t Fit

Defining Spaces with Natural Stone Tile

I have never really done a tile kitchen, but thought we’d give it a go (there’s a first for everything!). We went this route because the floor plan is very open and it helps to define zones for your space. I have to admit, I naturally gravitate to houses with “rooms” rather than all open, this provided us a way to create a sense of a “room” without walls.  We opted for a natural stone tile from Clé Tile. It feels natural and authentic to the home’s style, and it’s Lucy’s favorite spot to lay when things get hot.

Seamless Cabinetry and Integrated Appliances

For cabinets, I went with an inset option. I like how it looks to have them flush to the cabinet frame, with a very thin shaker detail at the edges. This adds a contemporary twist to a classic door style. We’ve always wanted beautiful white oak cabinets, which contrast so nicely with the tile, island table, and the countertops.

Notice our fridge? We camouflaged it with  two panel ready  24” wide column fridge/freezer units installed side by side. I love the integrated approach by hiding appliances, especially in a small kitchen. This way it doesn’t break your eye to the appliances, and instead lets the cabinetry shine. The Forte refrigerator trick was a tip I picked up from Anastasia Casey, founder of the Interior Collective.  By opting for panel ready Forte , we saved money thousands of dollars while still achieving a high-end look. The result? A 48″ fridge, counter depth at a fraction of the price of your typical panel ready refrigerator. This strategy allowed us to allocate our budget more effectively, while still maintaining the aesthetic and functionality we desired.

A Tiled Hood: A Personal Favorite

Another fun design decision, and one of my personal faves, is the tiled hood. In all our previous homes and projects, we have never incorporated an element like this. With the intent to hide as many appliances as possible, this achieves a more elevated look — and who doesn’t want that?

The hood is tiled with Zellige tiles from Riad, and it pairs nicely with all the other neutral materials. It is such a focal point, especially with the vaulted ceiling. This unique feature adds character and charm, making the kitchen feel both sophisticated and inviting. We love it!

Leather Details from Walnut Studiolo

I was thrilled when Walnut Studiolo offered to send us some of their amazing products. They specialize in handmade leather goods, and I immediately fell in love with their ingenious hardware wraps and pulls. We used a variety of their products: the Oswego Leather Wrap, the Flanders, and the Tilikum pulls. (Checkout this video!)

I always envisioned a leather element somewhere in the kitchen, and it’s a dream come true to see it come to life! The leather details really take this look to the next level with their Western-modern aesthetic. Installation was a breeze, and I’m always in support of small businesses doing extraordinary things 😊 These unique touches add warmth and texture, perfectly complementing the overall design.

Adding Tongue and Groove for Extra Texture

Are you surprised that we did more T&G on the kitchen walls? Derrick sure wasn’t when I asked him to pick up some extra to give it a try! Always try to layer different textures to make a space feel lived-in and inviting.

We kept it neutral and bright with Farrow & Ball’s ‘Shadow White.’ This choice really helped to keep everything balanced and fresh. The tongue and groove walls add a subtle charm and depth, enhancing the overall warmth and appeal of the kitchen.

Creative Lighting Solutions for Vaulted Ceilings

Lighting came as a challenge with our vaulted ceilings. We added three cylinder fixtures from Etsy over the kitchen sink and one centered over the kitchen island. I try to avoid can lighting when I can (no pun intended) because recessed lighting can be an eyesore in a kitchen with such natural, organic styles.

These fixtures come in a great bronze finish that almost blends into the dark stained ceiling. For that extra wow factor, we found bronze dish sconces from Mullan Lighting that completely shine against the light walls. When you turn them on, they give off a warm glow, perfect for evenings (and of course, we put them on dimmers).

A Heartfelt Thank You

Thank you, everyone, for being a part of this incredible journey. Your support, input and enthusiasm have made this process truly special. Designing this space has been an absolute joy, and I can’t wait to see the memories we’ll create here. Here’s to more magic and adventures ahead!

The June Edit: Embrace the Season of Sun

Ah, June — the first official month of summer here in Bend, Oregon. It’s incredible how quickly the a season can change; just a month ago, we were still experiencing snowfall in Bend. But now, we’ve made it! These are the months when I feel as though my designer spirit is truly thriving. The trees and bushes are full of life, the air is warm, and the sunshine gives everyone such a happy glow 😊 I find myself far more motivated during the summer months to make the most of the good weather and family time (when we can). I’ve discovered that romanticizing the simplest things in life has really helped me appreciate the beauty in my day-to-day experiences.

Speaking of simple pleasures, this month’s edit is all about that. As a huge hater of branded packaging and someone who dislikes when household essentials stick out like a sore thumb, I’ve rounded up a variety of basic home products that often go overlooked. These items are ones that fit the aesthetic of being a bit more elevated and all-natural.

For instance, this wooden broom feels like it’s straight from my great-grandma’s cottage with its classic bristles. Items like printed napkins and coasters are items you can always have on display without feeling like they take away from the effortless vibe. Not to mention, I’m totally loving this candle sconce. Items like these are so charming and can make a space feel more dramatic by adding a candlelit factor.

I love that now you can find products with both an old and new look. But, something about a vintage treasure is just unbeatable. Before I give away too much, let’s dive into some fun new trends that have been popping up more recently on our Pinterest feed and in our designs!

Color Drenching: One Color for Your Walls, Ceiling, and Trim

This is one of my favorite design trends: color drenching. The technique involves using a single paint color for your walls, ceiling and trim, creating a monochromatic effect where a single hue is “drenched” across all surfaces in a room.

Source: Pinterest

Why Color Drenching Works

  • Opens Up Space
  • Takes Your Eye Away from Corners
  • Spotlights Your Furniture
  • Creates a Comfy Cocooning Effect

Many people think that color drenching will be overkill or too boring, but that’s far from the truth. When I color drench a room, I love to play around with the paint’s finish, mixing satin and eggshell across different textures—like wood or plaster—to create greater visual interest. This approach prevents the space from feeling flat, and adds layers of subtle contrast and depth. It also acts as a great backdrop for your furniture and really makes it all pop!

Color Drenching in the Tumalo Project

We’ve incorporated the color drenching technique in several rooms of our Tumalo project, and I’m thrilled to share how it has turned out. In particular, we’ve used it in the rumpus room, the den/snug, and the bed nooks.

Rumpus Room

For the rumpus room, we chose Benjamin Moore’s “Black Fox.” This dark, rich color, combined with our existing stained wood ceiling, creates an all-encompassing moody effect. The combination of dark walls and ceiling envelops the space, making it feel intimate and cozy, perfect for a room that’s designed for relaxation and fun.

Den/Snug

In this room, we opted for a shade from Farrow & Ball, Salon Drab. We used this at our last home in the primary bedroom and I loved how cozy and moody it created the space. As the old addage goes, don’t fix what isn’t broken!  Opposed to our last home, I went all in and decided to paint the ceiling because I wanted to really embrace the coziness in this small space.

Designer Tip: I learned the hard way with this color, we color matched with a Benjamin Moore paint and their version of Satin in this color was just too shiny for my liking so we ended up painting over with a flat finish. I love the rustic quality it gives the space.

Bed Nooks

We have two sleeping nooks, and each has its own unique color. One is painted a soothing green, and the other a cozy gray-brown. These small spaces truly shine with color drenching, making them feel incredibly inviting. Despite their size, the light colors we chose keep them from feeling cramped. However, I also use darker hues in small rooms to create a more intimate atmosphere. It really depends on your personal vibe!

Designer tip: If you want to make your room appear larger, steer clear of dark hues like navy or deep brown, as they can make a space feel smaller. Lighter colors will help make it feel more expansive. But, if coziness is your goal, don’t hesitate to go dark, even in a small room. It all comes down to what makes you feel most at home.

What I’m Wearing This Month

As we enter the summer season, I’m all about those easy-going styles to get me through long, hot days. I found a new sundress to add to my arsenal, and I love the fit — it’s not hugging too tight, and feels extremely breathable. Plus, in a win for the girls, this dress has pockets! There’s nothing better than a cute, functional dress that makes you feel put together without sacrificing comfort.

I’ll also be pulling out my swimsuits from the deep depths of my drawers, and one-pieces are going to be my jam all summer long. I love the security they offer, and honestly, the styles have just gotten so much better! This eyelet one is basically an outfit with its ruffle and floral detailing. It’s chic, stylish, and perfect for lounging by the pool or hitting the beach.

And lastly, micro bags are the biggest trend of all this season. If you see me with this mini Longchamp and you’re curious about what’s inside … mind your business (because chances are it’s just my credit card and a lip gloss 😉). Some may think it’s impractical, but fashionistas know it’s a chic statement. It’s perfect for summer, and definitely a trend I can get behind.

How I’ll Be Accessorizing This Season

This season, I’m all about accessorizing with pieces that bring a touch of intricate, organic charm to my home. One of my favorites is a beautifully crafted teak cutting board that creates a stunning, organic-inspired foundation for both entertaining and décor. It’s not just a functional piece, but also a gorgeous display item that adds character to any kitchen.

I’m also loving hand-painted dishes. They’re perfect for holding jewelry on a nightstand, or next to your bathroom sink. These little dishes add a pop of color and artistic flair to otherwise simple spaces, making everyday routines feel a bit more special.

To mix up my couch pillow lineup, I’m incorporating some funky pillows. They add a fresh, playful touch to your living room and are an easy way to update the look without a complete overhaul. And, when it comes to hosting, I’m all about using brass goblets etched with floral designs. They are perfect for summer gatherings, and add a touch of elegance and whimsy to any table setting.

How to Pick the Right Grout Color

Now THIS is something that I feel like isn’t talked about enough, and is considered a low priority during the designing phase. Grout is so important — it can transform any tile look! It’s all about the vibe you’re going for and deciding between a neutral option or the contrasting option that gives a standout feel. I know this all comes down to personal preference, but I wanted to share my process for picking out grout and what I did at the Tumalo project.

It can be hard to look at a grout palette with its tiny little samples and try to envision the larger picture in an entire room. So, I always suggest looking at inspo images on Pinterest to get a sense of what you like best. This helps you visualize how different grout colors work with various tiles and in different settings.

Considering the Other Materials

In addition to looking at inspiration images, it’s important to think about the other materials in the space. To explain this, let’s think hypothetically. Imagine your shower walls are a white porcelain tile and your floors are a gray slate; there are a couple of ways you could go about grouting both your walls and the floor.

If You Want To Highlight the Shower

If you want the shower to be more of the “star” of the room, I’d recommend going bolder with a contrasting grout (like shown below with the white grout against the green tiles). I’d suggest a light or even charcoal gray for contrast against your white tiles. This gives visual interest with the pattern of the tiles. By doing this, you will have more “busyness” on your walls, so try contrasting with a simpler, or “quieter” floor where you match your grout to the slate color of your tiles (like they did here with the white tile floor and white grout).

Source: Fivesextillion

If You Want to Showcase the Floors

Now, if you have laid your floors in a pattern that you want to show off, then I recommend doing the reverse. Use a lighter grout to contrast with your gray slate tiles (like seen below with our white grout against the terracotta hue Clé tiles in our primary bathroom). Then, use a white grout to match the tiles in the shower to keep it secondary to your floors. I hope you understand what I mean … it’s all about choosing what you want to show off in your space and then make your grout selections.

Grout Choices at the Tumalo Project

The Kitchen

With all the Zellige tiles we have been seeing, the colors and handmade nature of these tiles are beautiful on their own! For instance, in the kitchen, we chose a tonal grout for the hood where we used these Riad Tiles. We matched that color to the tiles so it blends seamlessly and allows the tile to really shine. This choice highlights the natural beauty of the Zellige tiles without any distractions, creating a cohesive and elegant look.

The Rumpus Room Bar

In the Rumpus Room bar, we wanted something different from the kitchen hood. We chose a lighter grout to show the pattern and contrast against the pretty deep red of the Clé tiles. This choice emphasizes the unique pattern and rich color of the tiles, making the bar area a standout feature of the home. Both the kitchen and the bar showcase how grout can either blend in to let the tile shine, or stand out to highlight its pattern.

Grout may seem like a small detail, but it plays a significant role in the overall look and feel of your space. By carefully selecting your the color, you can enhance the beauty of your tiles and create the perfect ambiance in any room. So next time you’re planning a renovation, give grout the attention it deserves and watch how it transforms your space!

Tumalo Exterior: Blending Indoor and Outdoor Design

This is the perfect time to share our exterior plans for Tumalo. We just wrapped up the excavation phase, and are now diving into all things landscaping! Collaborating with Yardzen has been a game-changer; their creative direction has helped us visualize our dream outdoor spaces. We’ve got some stunning plans and renderings to share with you that perfectly capture our vision of seamlessly blending the indoors and outdoors. The anticipation is building, and seeing these designs on paper makes the journey even more thrilling. Join us as we transform our yard into a beautiful, cohesive extension of our home!

Oh and by the way… these show the house in its natural cedar siding, but know we are still planning on a dark stain for the siding. If you were around last fall, you followed along as Derrick painted multiple stain options on the siding. Then the cold weather hit and we couldn’t stain. So, that will be happening real soon, amongst one of the bazillion things on our to-do list this summer!

Enhancing the Front Yard: Guest House Vision and Driveway Makeover

We have a great piece of property that sits on about an acre. In the front, we came up with the idea of adding a guest house which could possibly serve as our Clouz Houz office quarters. Also, a guest house is definitely a dream of ours, and we’ll see if that ever gets implemented. But, we love the way it sits on the property when they drew up our plans! Who knows if/when this will happen … we’ll be phasing the exterior part of this project. 😉

There’s a lot to tackle on the exterior of this property, especially in the front as there was zero landscaping when we purchased the property. It was literally all native with a huge grove of Juniper and pine trees. So, the outbuilding will be like phase 3/4 … but a girl can dream, right?

Plans for the Exterior

If you’ve been to the house, you know our driveway has taken a beating, crumbling into pieces as semi after semi has hauled materials up our long drive. Our first task is to re-pave the hill with asphalt. After that, at the top of the hill, we’ll bring in decomposed granite to create a turn-around area in the front yard. We have plenty of room to create this, and we think it’ll make more sense to be able to turn around and drive down the driveway, instead of backing out. Also, with a family of five and a love for hosting, we knew we needed extra room for guests to park on the street and walk up driveway. Yardzen’s front yard designs perfectly capture this vision, making the entrance both functional and welcoming.

Transforming the Front Deck

We are currently working on the new front deck, ripping out the old and extending it about 10 feet beyond where it previously ended. To open up the space and allow for extra parking, we removed several trees from the front yard. However, we purposefully left one tree within the deck area for added shade and character. This tree was one of my favorite features when we first looked at the house, and I love how it makes the front of the house more interesting and inviting. It really adds something special to the exterior of the house.

Creating a Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living Experience

Our backyard is the true gem of this property. With unobstructed views of the mountains, we feel incredibly lucky to call this place home. It is seriously so serene out there! We frequently see loads of wildlife grazing in the back meadow! And, on some days, we can even spot horses at the barn in the distance — a dream come true for me growing up. I literally begged my parents to turn our backyard into a horse pasture! 😂 We wanted to capitalize on this view and make the outdoor living areas feel authentic and functional, perfectly suited to how we enjoy living during summer.

To achieve a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living, we chose sliding glass doors, allowing us to keep everything open and easy during the warmer months. This effortless transition from indoors to outdoors ensures that each space feels sufficient on its own, while till harmoniously connected. Here’s some of our inspiration for this vision.

As for the backyard makeover, this will be an ongoing process. We have already excavated areas where we will bring in more decomposed granite and pavers. While we plan to keep some of the backyard lawn, we also want to create various seating areas or zones for dining, lounging. And, of course, an area for a fire pit! Additionally, we will be extending a small deck that steps down all along the back of the house. This approach will provide multiple functional and cozy spaces for different activities.

Designing a Private Oasis

We’re envisioning something really fun connected to the primary suite. My dream is to have a cedar hot tub and an outdoor shower station surrounded by flowers and big bushes. The key to making this space feel private and secluded is to incorporate lush greenery that gives the impression of a personal oasis. This area will be a natural extension of our indoor-outdoor vibe, which is especially important during the summer months. With kids who love to be outside all the time and a dog who also enjoys rolling around in the dirt, having an exterior shower feels crucial.

The addition of a hot tub is something we’re particularly excited about. In the last couple of houses we’ve rented during this renovation, having a hot tub was a game changer for us year-round. It provided a perfect escape after a long day. We can’t wait to recreate that experience in our own home, making it a relaxing retreat for the entire family. Here’s a peek at our Yardzen side yard images to show you our vision.

I hope you enjoyed this virtual exterior tour of our home and our long term vision for what we dream it will look like one day. As I mentioned, this is definitely going to be a long process. Some areas will have to be completed in phases since it’s so much to tackle all at once. But, I love the renderings, and it has been very exciting to break ground and start making progress on the parts we can implement immediately.

Stay tuned for updates on our Instagram, where we’ll continue to share the journey of transforming our outdoor spaces into the perfect blend of style, comfort, and natural beauty. Thank you for following along with us, and we can’t wait to show you the final results!

Create a Seamless Lighting Plan For Your Home

Lighting – it’s the unsung hero of home design. Trust me when I say, if there’s one thing you should splurge on, it’s lighting. Whether you’re aiming for dramatic flair or subtle sophistication, the right lighting can make all the difference. Believe it or not, lighting is one of our most asked-about topics – from fixture placement to bulb selection to mastering the art of layering, we’ve got you covered. And guess what? We’re in the midst of moving next weekend or two, with lighting just installed last week – talk about perfect timing!

Lighting isn’t just about functionality; it’s about setting the mood and enhancing the overall atmosphere of your space. Whether you’re cozying up in the living room or prepping dinner in the kitchen, the right lighting can transform the entire vibe. And speaking of vibes, our Tumalo renovation project is serving up some serious inspo! From sleek modern fixtures to vintage-inspired sconces, we’ve curated a collection that’s sure to spark your creativity. Join us as we share our journey, offering insights and inspiration for your next project.

Where and How High to Hang Fixtures

Dining Fixtures

When it comes to dining fixtures, balance is key. You want your light to be low enough to cast a beautiful glow over your dining table, but not so low that it feels heavy or intrusive for your guests. The height of your fixture can greatly depend on its design and the space it occupies. For example, an all-glass globe pendant can hang lower than a shade light because it’s transparent and feels airy. Generally, anywhere between 30-36 inches above your tabletop is a good range.

For our Tumalo project, I selected a stunning steel and brass pendant. The goal was to create an oversized effect in the dining room in order to give a dramatic feel and make dining more intimate and cozy.

Bedroom Fixtures

For a touch of elegance and practicality in the bedroom, consider hanging fixtures above your nightstands. Ideally, these fixtures should hang about 18-22″ inches above the nightstand surface. This not only provides ample lighting for reading and nighttime tasks, but also frees up space on your nightstands, giving your bedroom a clean and uncluttered look.

Sconces

Sconces are another fantastic way to add character and warmth to a room. As a general rule, the middle of the sconce should be 60 to 72 inches above the floor, or roughly at eye level. If you have vaulted ceilings, you can hang them a bit higher so they don’t look too low.

In the Tumalo renovation, I chose a variety of vintage-inspired and textural sconces. I adore the moody glow they cast, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Here’s a roundup of some of the sconces chosen for Tumalo. Each piece adds a touch of charm and character, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the space.

Overhead Lighting

Overhead lighting is often overlooked, but it plays a crucial role in setting the tone of a room. My personal recommendation? Get rid of those can lights. They can be such an eyesore with their harsh light and swiss cheese aesthetic (some rooms do require recessed lighting- so if you must choose anything 4″ diameter or smaller!). Instead, incorporate fixtures, sconces, lamps, and even candles to create the perfect ambiance in your home.

For the Tumalo project, we focused on layering different types of lighting to achieve a warm, inviting feel. By combining overhead fixtures with sconces and lamps, we were able to create a beautifully lit space that’s both functional and aesthetically pleasing. It’s all about creating a layered lighting plan that enhances the mood and feel of each room.

How to Select the Right Bulbs for Your Lighting

Selecting the right bulbs can make all the difference in your home’s lighting. Personally, I avoid “daylight” bulbs because they tend to be too harsh, and a cooler white (aka blue) for creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Here’s how to choose bulbs that will enhance your space beautifully.

Opt for Warm Color Temperatures

First things first, you’ll want to opt for bulbs with a warm color temperature, typically between 2700K and 3000K. These warmer tones create a soft, welcoming glow that’s perfect for any room. The result? Spaces that feel inviting and comfortable, perfect for relaxing or entertaining.

Consider the Lumen Count

Another important factor is the lumen count. Aim for bulbs with a lower lumen count, somewhere between 400-800 lumens. This range provides enough light without being overpowering. At Tumalo, we found that using bulbs within this range gave us the perfect amount of light for both functionality and ambiance. It’s all about finding that sweet spot where your rooms are well-lit (but not too harh) and still have that warm, cozy vibe.

Use Dimmable Bulbs

Dimmable bulbs, or dimmer switches are a game-changer for home lighting. They allow you to adjust the brightness to suit your needs and the mood you want to create. Whether you’re hosting a dinner party or winding down for the evening, dimmable bulbs give you the flexibility to set the perfect lighting. In Tumalo, we installed dimmable bulbs in key areas like the dining room and living spaces. This way, we can easily adjust the lighting to match the occasion, creating the ideal atmosphere every time.

Layering Tips

When it comes to creating the perfect ambiance in any room, layering your lighting is essential. I believe every room should have at least 2-3 different forms of lighting. This can include recessed lighting, but ideally, it’s 2-3 fixtures such as sconces, pendants, and table lamps working together.

Mix and Match Fixtures

To achieve a beautifully lit room, you need to mix and match different types of fixtures. In our Tumalo project, we used a combination of steel,  bronze wall sconces, and cozy table lamps to ensure each room had multiple sources of light. This approach not only enhances the functionality of the space but also adds depth and character.

Ambient Lighting is Key

Ambient lighting (table lamps, floor lamps and even candlelight counts!) is crucial for setting the mood in a room. It’s the “glow” we aim for at night, providing a soft, inviting atmosphere without relying on harsh overhead recessed cans. I can’t stress this enough: if you have recessed lighting, it’s okay — that’s why dimmers will become your best friend.

Use these tips to master the art of lighting in your own home. Remember, it’s all about creating that perfect glow that makes your space feel both functional and inviting!

Life is Short. Make it Beautiful.

Transform your Home: Tips for Staging and Furnishings

When it comes to staging, think of it as giving your home a facelift. There’s something deeply satisfying about watching a home transform with the help of simple cosmetic upgrades. As designers, our challenge with staging is figuring out how to make the biggest impact for the ideal buyer using only furnishings and décor, but without diving into major renovations. Sure, we might suggest a fresh coat of paint here or there, or other minor fixes (replacing outdated lighting fixtures is a big one), but our main goal is to create a visually appealing environment that attracts potential buyers.

I love the process of staging because it’s like playing dress-up with a house. Imagine turning a blank canvas into a work of art with just the right pieces! It’s all about highlighting the home’s best features and making it feel inviting. The trick is to strike a balance between making it look stylish, yet livable.

So, I wanted to share a few insider tips on how we stage our homes. If you’re getting ready to list your home, I hope you find these helpful! Let’s dive in and help your space look its best.

Our Approach to Staging Projects

In our staging projects, I take a personalized approach, bringing in a mixture of furniture, décor, artwork, and accents to showcase the home’s best features. It’s all about creating a space that potential buyers can see themselves living in, without making any major structural changes.

Lifestyle Vision Board

Just like our client work, we create a vision board for each staging project. This board helps us determine the feeling we want to evoke in each property. Is it a cozy family home or a sleek modern apartment? We turn to the vision board when we source, and procure items to fit that specific vibe. It keeps us focused and ensures that everything we bring in aligns with the desired atmosphere.

Imagining the Ideal Client’s Wants and Needs

We always keep the potential buyer in mind. For instance, if we’re staging a large family home, we might select a large sectional to showcase the living room’s ample space. It’s about anticipating what the ideal client might want or need, then styling the home to reflect that. This approach makes the space feel more relevant and appealing to specific buyers.

Style with Intention

Unlike most stagers, we put a lot of emphasis on styling so as to speak to the vision board we’ve created. We carefully select props and accessories that match the feeling and aesthetic we’re aiming for. Whether it’s adding cozy throws and pillows to create a welcoming living room or setting a stylish table to highlight the dining area, we style with intention to make the home look both beautiful and livable.

By focusing on these key elements, we create spaces that not only look amazing, but also connect with buyers on an emotional level, helping them envision their future in the home.

Edit and Supplement with the Right Pieces

When it comes to staging, bringing in the right pieces can make all the difference. If we were to stage your home, we’d carefully select and supplement with pieces that show off the home’s best features. By aligning our selections with the home’s aesthetic and lifestyle needs, we ensure that every element contributes to the overall appeal of the space.

We don’t just use a one-size-fits-all approach. When we stage a home, we order furniture and décor specific to each property and offer these pieces for purchase with the home sale. This ensures that the staging feels cohesive and tailored, enhancing the home’s unique charm. This approach not only makes the staging feel more intentional but also gives potential buyers an option to purchase pieces that are perfectly suited to the space.

If you’re getting your home ready for sale, it’s essential to edit out a lot of your existing décor. Think about your ideal client and tailor the space to their needs. For instance, if it’s a young family, incorporate comfy pieces conducive to both kids and adults lounging. If your ideal buyer is an older couple or empty nesters, imagine them entertaining or enjoying the home for themselves.

Each space needs to feel intentional so that when a buyer walks through the door, they are wowed and can visualize themselves living there — not you! Remove personal items, such as family photos, to create a more neutral and inviting atmosphere. The goal is for buyers to see the potential of the space and envision their own lives unfolding there.

By focusing on editing and supplementing with the right pieces, we create a beautifully staged home that appeals to a wide range of buyers and helps the property sell quickly.

Staging vs. Full-Service Furnishing

I want to switch gears for a moment, and point out a service that is similar to our staging projects but tailored for those who aren’t looking to sell their home. If the idea of cosmetic upgrades sounds like the design help you need, without the intention of listing your house, then our full-service furnishing might be just what you’re looking for.

Similarities and Differences

While staging and full-service furnishing share similarities, they cater to different needs and budgets. Staging is all about enhancing a home’s appeal for potential buyers. The goal is to make the biggest impact with furnishings and décor without major renovations. On the other hand, full-service furnishing offers a comprehensive design solution for homeowners who want to refresh their space without a full remodel.

Comprehensive Design Solutions

Whether it’s a complete overhaul or a few strategic updates, we work closely with clients to create a plan that meets their goals and budget. Our furnishing service is perfect for clients who don’t necessarily want to renovate but already have a streamlined foundation. We can complete their home aesthetic with intentional and elevated décor and styling essentials.

Tailored for Your Needs

Just like our staging projects, we take a personalized approach with our full-service furnishing. We bring in a mix of furniture, decor, artwork, and accents to showcase your home’s best features. Whether it’s creating a cozy living room with a perfect blend of comfort and style or transforming a bedroom into a serene retreat, our goal is to make your space look and feel exactly how you envision it.

By focusing on thoughtful furnishings and décor, we help you achieve a beautiful, functional home without the need for high-end custom designer lines. Our approach ensures that you get the look and feel you desire while staying within your budget. Whether you’re staging to sell or furnishing for personal enjoyment, we’re here to help you create a space that truly feels like home.

Celebrating a Fresh Spring Menu for Mother’s Day

Hey there, lovely people! Can you believe it’s already spring? Time sure does fly … I hope you’ve all been soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the little joys this season brings. Personally, I’ve been loving all the blooming flowers, the longer days, and the feeling of new beginnings in the air. And, Mother’s Day is right around the corner 🤍 Spring always feels like a fresh start, doesn’t it?

Anyway, I thought it was about time we caught up over a little virtual lunch date. So, grab a seat and let’s chat! Lately, life has been a whirlwind of excitement and busyness. From planning the upcoming move into our Tumalo project to spending quality time with loved ones, there’s never a dull moment. And, speaking of exciting things, I’ve been experimenting with some delicious recipes that I can’t wait to share with you all!

Mother’s Day Surprises

First, let’s dive into the delightful world of Mother’s Day surprises (hint hint Clouz family). Picture this: a sunny afternoon, a beautifully set table, and a homemade meal fit for a queen. Sounds like the perfect way to celebrate Mom, doesn’t it? With Mother’s Day just around the corner, show her your love and appreciation with a thoughtfully prepared meal straight from the heart.

Treating her to simplicity with a touch of elegance …

Today, I’m particularly excited to dive into one of my absolute favorite spring recipes. Imagine treating Mom to a delicious homemade salad bursting with fresh flavors. Well, this citrus and burrata salad is just the ticket! It’s light, vibrant, and oh-so-delicious, making it the perfect centerpiece for your Mother’s Day feast. Plus, it’s super easy to whip up, leaving you with more time to spend with Mom and less time stressing in the kitchen. Of course, you could add shredded roasted chicken if you want to make it a little more substantial for  a light dinner. Then, you’ll be totally good to go!

But wait, there’s more! No celebration is complete without a refreshing drink to toast to Mom’s awesomeness. After all, good food tastes even better with great company. So, whether it’s a zesty lemonade, a fruity mocktail, or a crisp glass of rosé, you truly can’t go wrong. So why not toast with a delightful beverage that’ll quench your thirst and lift your spirits? This is a ClouzHouz fave from a while back. It does the trick every time, and the presentation is on par with a spring afternoon brunch. Give this Apricot Blood Orange Martini a try and let me know what you think … it practically tastes like juice 😉

And, let’s not forget about dessert! Springtime calls for light pastries with a twist. Pretty sure scones are going to be the treat of the season (at least I wish them to be)! After all, there’s nothing like a home baked good to brighten your day 😌 This is an easy and semi-healthy treat, easy to grab on your way out the door. I’ve been loving this particular Blueberry Scone Recipe with its flaky and sugary crust.

Tabletop Magic

Now … onto tabletop magic! Elevate your Mother’s Day celebration (or any dinner party for that matter) with a beautifully set table, adorned with her favorite springy china. Then, add a previously stored-away table linen for a touch of elegance. Embrace the mix-matched and eclectic picnic aesthetic – think Grandma’s cherished collections gathered over the years. After all, it’s those special little moments that Mom will treasure forever, so let’s make them count!

Tumalo Entryway: Space Optimization & Solutions

Let’s talk entryways, shall we? It’s funny – we’ve shared all sorts of updates about our home renovation journey, but we haven’t touched on the entryway yet. And … there’s a reason for that. With just two weeks until move-in day, things are getting pretty hectic around here. We’ve got electrical work happening, appliances being installed, and the final touches of paint going up on the walls. Oh, and did I mention that the entryway isn’t exactly spacious?

Nope, it’s just a cozy little welcome area right off the living room, all part of one big open space.

But, despite its size, this entryway has got me excited. Why? Because it’s a blank canvas waiting to be transformed into something special. It’s a space that’s going to set the tone for the rest of our home, so you better believe I want to get it just right. So here’s where things get interesting. I’ve been going back and forth on how to approach this, deciding whether it should it be a practical spot for family and friends to kick off their shoes and hang their jackets, or whether it should be more about the aesthetic. Honestly, it has to be a bit of both.

When you step through the front door into the entryway …

… there’s this one little wall that’s just begging to be the focal point! And, I’ve got big plans for it! I’m talking a stylish bench (or maybe a console table) adorned with art, and stools stashed underneath for extra seating by the fire. Or, why not a combination of both?

The possibilities are endless, but one thing’s for sure – I want it to feel intentional and functional. In reality, a true reflection of our style and how we envision ourselves using the space. So, join me on this journey as we dive into the world of entryway design. We want to turn this little corner into a welcoming oasis that sets the perfect tone for our home.

I’ve been mulling over a couple of ideas, and have whipped up two mood boards to help visualize what I’m thinking. Let’s see what we’ve got!

I’ve been eyeing this first option for a while now. We used this Rush House rug for one of our clients, and it’s still in the running. The woven pattern brings nice texture to a space, and I love its neutrality. It goes with anything! It’s a large-scale art piece that would set the tone perfectly. All I would need to do is find a farmhouse-style console table to tie it all together.

What’s got me really excited are these adorable camel-colored stools with fringe detailing. They add a playful touch, and really capture the rustic charm of Tumalo. Plus, picture this: two sconces flanking the art, casting a warm glow — it’s a wall that’s as beautiful as it is inviting.

Just as much function as Option 1. But, instead of a tabletop for dropping things, I’m wondering if a bench is a better option here? I have a vintage bench I purchased years ago that may fit perfectly on the wall, with a great piece of art above it. You gotta love benches for entryways, especially if you don’t have a coat closet. They’re a great landing pad for bags, coats, hats etc.

Well, which do you think? Knowing me, I won’t be able to decide until we get our things moved in. And, they’ve been in storage for the last eight months! I almost forget what all we have …

***

That being said, I’m thinking of hosting a yard sale the same weekend we move in. Crazy? Maybe a little. Truth be told, I’m not entirely sure where we’ll fit all our stuff. This house is a significant downsizing for us, but it’s a shift we’ve embraced as the kids have grown. We’ve come to realize that functionality is key when it comes to home design, and we don’t necessarily need a sprawling house anymore. With the kids becoming more independent, it’s mostly just D and me these days. 😭

But, here’s the catch: this house is seriously lacking in storage space. We’ve already got two storage units bursting at the seams, so it’s high time we clear out the clutter and pass along the things that no longer serve us. So, mark your calendars for the weekend of May 18/19 – if you’re in town, swing by and say hello! Who knows, you might just find a treasure or two.

May Edit: Embracing Romance and New Beginnings

April showers have come and gone, leaving behind the promise of May flowers. This monthly edit is sure to bring about emotions of romance, and encourage us to cultivate new beginnings as we transition into late spring. It’s unbelievable how quickly April flew by, isn’t it? May is rolling in like a breath of fresh air, welcoming a season of vibrant energy and new beginnings here in Bend. Let’s just hope we are through all the snow… I just heard there’s a chance of a few flurries tonight! Springtime in Bend can be silly, but when the trees start to bud and daffodils start popping up it’s a mood lifter for sure.

I don’t know about you, but I’m loving this vibe! The world around us is bursting with color and life, and its got us feeling inspired to tackle some new design projects. There’s just something about this time of year that makes us want to freshen things up and bring a little more joy into our spaces.

So here’s to May – a month full of possibilities, sunshine, and all-around good vibes. Let’s make it one to remember!

Sculptured Sophistication

Sculpted pieces are stealing the spotlight in our designs lately, and I can’t get enough of them! Why are we so drawn to these bold, statement-making elements? Because they add an undeniable charm and elegance to any space.

Source: Alexis Bittar

Lately, I’ve been eyeing the silver sculptural cuff in my shopping cart. Its organically intricate design feels perfect for any outfit that desires to be elevated naturally & simply. And, don’t even get me started on this ruffled brass chandelier. Its hand-formed shapes bring a touch of vintage flair that you’ll absolutely adore. But the pièce de résistance? The white concrete outdoor dining table, with a minimalist design and rich texture that will create the perfect setting for stylish al fresco gatherings with friends and family.

Floral Finesse

As May ushers in a season of blossoming in all aspects of life, I’m thrilled to shine a spotlight on these exquisite pieces that capture this essence. Let’s start with the stunning Flora dress by Ulla Johnson – a literal work of art! With its lightweight fabric, delicate ruffle trim and handkerchief hem, it’s the epitome of sweet feminine charm. What is it about delicate florals that make them such wonderful design elements? Well, for starters, they bring a sense of freshness and vitality to any space, infusing it with a touch of natural beauty and tranquility. Whether adorning a dress or gracing the walls of a room, florals have a magical way of uplifting the spirits and creating a sense of joy and optimism.

Source: Ulla Johnson

Speaking of walls, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect way to incorporate this floral wallpaper into our Tumalo project. There’s something about moody botanicals and rich colors that speaks to me, but I’m not sure if it’ll find the right place in our design scheme. Still, I’m keeping it in my arsenal, hoping that someone else will see the beauty in this captivating pattern.

Free-Spirited Style

Let’s talk about Boho Chic – a style that can resonate on a deep level. It’s all about that laid-back, free-spirited vibe that feels so effortlessly cool! Here are some pieces that embody this aesthetic in the most perfect way.

Source: Flattered

Take, for example, this suede clutch – the slouched silhouette gives off a relaxed, easygoing vibe, and the sand hue adds an earthy warmth that feels so inviting. It’s like carrying around a piece of nature, and I’m all about that organic look.

And then there’s the chocolate mohair accent chair – like a creative muse in furniture form. It’ll inspire you with its streamlined design and luxurious mohair upholstery. The way it seamlessly blends comfort with style is just so intriguing to me, I can’t help but imagine how it would elevate any space it graces.

Celebrating Handcrafted Treasures

I often advise clients to incorporate handcrafted pieces into their design, as they have the power to transform a house into a home. These artisanal touches infuse a space with a special character and uniqueness that simply cannot be replicated. It’s these handcrafted treasures that add depth and personality, creating a living environment that feels truly authentic and one-of-a-kind.

I’m excited to share that I’m incorporating this hardware into my own home. These were sourced from Walnut Studiolo, a business also local to the PNW, known for their handcrafted leather goods. We wanted to incorporate a leather element somewhere, and discovering these local leather drawer pulls was just the right sign from the universe. After deliberating over where to place them, they’ll go on the cabinets or in the bed nook pullout built-in drawers. What’s undeniable is the soft texture they bring and how they stand out, adding a unique flair to our home’s design theme.

As for the hand-painted pitcher, I envision it becoming a centerpiece of nostalgic and whimsical farmhouse table settings all summer long.

Romantic Accents

Late spring, with its blooming flowers and warm sunshine, has always held a special romantic allure. There’s something inherently magical about this time of year, especially when spent immersed in nature. From leisurely picnics in the park to romantic strolls along tree-lined paths, there are endless ways to embrace the romance of late spring and infuse everyday life with a touch of enchantment.

Source: Pinterest

Personally, I’ve always been one to romanticize my surroundings and pay special attention to the little details that make life feel extraordinary. That’s why I’m particularly drawn to romantic accents like a vintage wicker picnic basket and a striped European-inspired linen duvet cover. Pieces like these transport me to idyllic scenes of leisurely picnics and sun-dappled afternoons, which fills my heart! Try this yourself with the accent pieces you choose to make your space special … and personal.

Allison’s perfume

One item that holds a particularly romantic significance for me is a perfume I purchased last May while in Italy. Its scent takes me back to the cobblestone streets of Florence. Investing in new scents as the seasons change has become a cherished tradition for me, with each fragrance serving as a token to remember the period of time in which I’m living and to preserve memories with just one sniff.

***

As we welcome the arrival of May and late spring, let us revel in the romance that surrounds us! Take pleasure in the delicate blossoms adorning the trees and the carefree boho vibe that infuses the air. Embrace the magic of late spring, and find joy in the simple pleasures. Let’s all cherish the memories we create, and continue to cultivate a life filled with love and inspiration. 🤍

Styling Essentials We Suggest for That Finished Look

Styling Essentials We All Need

We’ve all hit that decorating wall, haven’t we? Even for us designers who adore crafting the perfect ambiance, there are moments when a space just feels … incomplete. It’s like we’re standing in the middle of the room, surrounded by décor possibilities, but unsure how to bring it all together into a cohesive, polished expression of our personal style.

I’ve worked through areas in my own home that I felt were unfinished and lacked personality, and I’m here to tell you what has worked for me throughout years of trial and error. I encourage you to follow this step by step “guide” to help you get the look you desire!

Your Styling Secret Weapon

If there’s one thing I swear by when it comes to styling, it’s the power of a good ol’ book. First off, let’s talk about stacking. A neat stack of your favorite reads, topped with a chic vase or a quirky trinket, is an instant style boost! Whether you’re working with a coffee table, a side table, or even an empty shelf crying out for attention, a well-stacked pile of books can work wonders in adding height to your space.

Design: Clouz Houz | Photography: Zee Wendell

Next up, propping. Ever struggled to fill that awkward gap on your shelf or mantel? Simply prop some books up against the wall, or nestle them between other decorative objects to create a dynamic display that’s as eye-catching as it is effortless. Don’t be afraid to mix it up – play with different sizes, colors, and genres to add personality and depth to your arrangement.

Now, let’s talk about displaying books open (his one’s a personal favorite of mine). There’s something so inviting about an open book, don’t you think? Whether it’s a novel with dog-eared pages or a stunning coffee table book filled with emotional photography, displaying books open adds a touch of warmth and charm to any space. Plus, it’s a great conversation starter for guests who can’t resist peeking inside!

The books that I use time and time again: Shop our favorites on our Amazon Storefront.

Textural Touches

All right, let’s peek into the world of texture and how you can use it to level up your décor game! We’re talking baskets, woven trays, and picture frames – the MVPs of adding depth and dimension to your space.

Design: Clouz Houz | Photography: Zee Wendell

Baskets are not only practical for stashing away clutter (because let’s face it, we all have it), but they also bring a cozy, earthy vibe to any room.

Beyond their practicality, woven trays serve as stylish foundations for vignettes, allowing you to showcase your favorite décor pieces with flair. The texture of woven materials like rattan or seagrass adds visual interest and complexity to your tabletops or shelves, elevating your design scheme from ordinary to extraordinary.

And finally, picture frames. The right frame can complement your artwork or photographs, adding depth and richness to your walls and shelves. Opting for frames with interesting textures – think hammered metal or reclaimed wood – not only enhances the visual appeal of your display, but also ties in with the overall theme and style of your space.

Crafted Charm: Elevating Your Space with Handmade Ceramics

Curate a collection of ceramics, each lovingly crafted by hand and varying in height and tone. Imagine tall vases with cute little bowls, each one adding its own vibe to the mix. And the colors? Think earthy tones, soft pastels, and maybe a pop of bright color here and there.

Whether it’s something passed down from your grandmother or a new piece you picked up at the local market, styling with a mix of old and new will give you a very eclectic vibe. Handmade pieces are full of history, and are key for giving your home that lived-in aesthetic. It will only make it more homey and inviting for yourself and your guests!

Treasure Trove: Adding Personality with Found Objects

Okay, let’s dive into the world of found objects – the hidden gems that add a touch of magic to your space. We’re talking cool pieces like crystals, original art, shells, petrified woods, sculptures, a vintage magnifying glass – you name it. These items can often times be collected during a wanderlust trip, a trip to a vintage store, or even a second hand store.

I’m always telling my clients to incorporate pieces like these into their décor. Why? Because they’re not just decorations – they’re memories. Whether it’s a crystal you picked up on a hike, a shell from a beach vacation, or an antler you found on a camping trip, each piece tells a story. And, when you surround yourself with these little treasures, you’re not just styling your home – you’re creating a space that’s uniquely you.

So, next time you’re out and about, keep an eye out for those special finds. Whether it’s in a different city, on a special trip, or just in your own backyard, collect things that really resonate with you. Because at the end of the day, it’s all about making your space feel like home and giving it the jewelry it needs to shine. 🌟

The Definitive Mother’s Day Gift Guide

I cherish the opportunity to spend Mother’s Day with my family, savoring every precious moment of togetherness. As the years pass and our children grow older, these occasions become increasingly rare. Whether it’s brunch, lunch or dinner, the simple act of gathering around the table to share a meal fills my heart with joy.

My mother lives in Portland, and while distance separates us physically, our bond remains as strong as ever. She’s not just my mother though; she’s my confidante, my mentor and my role model. The simple pleasure of getting to see each other in person every now and then really makes me happy. I often miss her, but our daily conversations keep us connected, and her unwavering support and guidance continue to shape my world.

And, with her endless creativity and knack for hospitality, she could give Martha Stewart a run for her money! People always ask me where I get my passion for entertaining … now you know 🤍

As a mom myself, I’ve put together a list of items that I know I’d absolutely love to receive on Mother’s Day. Sure … a little gift to show your love is never turned down 😉 Derrick, if you happen to be reading this, consider your Mother’s Day shopping a breeze!

Imagine gifting vibrant yellow high ball glasses, and adding a cheerful touch to her Mother’s Day brunch or dinner as she celebrates with loved ones. These glasses not only brighten up the table, but also symbolize the joy and warmth she brings to your family.

Staying on this spring theme, delicate floral-patterned dinner plates, reminiscent of a blooming garden, gracing her table as she hosts would be such a special touch. They are a collection that she’ll cherish for years to come, along with the memory of when she opened them.

For the mom who loves tending to her garden, surprise her with a weathered watering can that combines practicality with rustic charm. It’s a symbol of French provincial charm and the simple pleasures of country living. Indulge in the gift that allows her to live out her own version of la vie en rose.

You can never go wrong with a decorative bowl, and I’m loving the orb element on this piece. For those who like to give their signature snacks a well deserved presentation (or if you know someone who loves to corral their clutter in a stylish manner), this bowl will serve any purpose while making a statement.

4. Beauty & Skin

Luxury beauty essentials are the perfect indulgence for the special moms in your life this Mother’s Day. Imagine gifting a facial mist, a luxurious treat that’s often overlooked but oh-so-pampering.
