We stopped by a few weeks ago to walk the site and soak in the progress. Construction is very much underway, but you can already feel the character of this home coming to life.
There’s still plenty to do, but the vision is unfolding.

Can’t wait to share the finishing touches and start layering in all the furnishings that will make this space.

Lately I’ve been thinking about this trend. It’s something we’ve been quietly noticing in design, in fashion, even in the way people are moving through summer right now.
It’s not just preppy & nautical. It’s softer. Worn-in. Practical but still romantic.

This mood really started to come alive for me in August-when it’s hot in the afternoon but chilly in the morning. When you’re still buying tomatoes but secretly starting to crave layers. That in-between moment. That’s what this month’s edit is all about.

Posted a new Supper on the Ranch menu on the blog yesterday and I think this might be my favorite one yet. The blackberry + goat cheese salad is peak summer (add grilled chicken if you’re hungry), and the maple + brie baguette appetizer? That one’s been making the rounds online... and for good reason.

It’s gone viral, but it’s actually worth the hype. Just a few ingredients, barely any effort, and somehow feels way more elevated than it should. I’ve already made it twice this week.

Such a good go-to for last-minute dinners on the patio or those random weeknights you want to feel a little fancy.
