Back roads, best bites, and a little Tennessee magic...✨
We spent the week exploring Middle TN-eating our way through small towns, chasing hidden gems, and falling even more in love with the spots we can’t wait to revisit.
Full guide-where we stayed, what we ate, and what we loved—is dropping on the blog tomorrow! Hit follow so you don’t miss it.
We’re officially moved in! You can now find us on the second floor of @tumalo_home — and if you haven’t been into the shop itself yet, it’s to die for! It’s a perfect destination for beautiful home furnishings, both new and vintage along with a curated collection of home decor.
While we’re preparing for our big move to Tennessee, we want to make it clear: our Oregon roots aren’t going anywhere. This community means so much to us, and we’re doubling down on our commitment to our Bend + Portland clients. Expanding our office space and growing our team allows us to keep offering the same hands-on, personal approach that Clouz Houz was built on, while also stepping into new opportunities out of state.
In our eyes, this isn’t change, it’s expansion. We’ll continue to design and deliver projects here in Central Oregon and beyond, while also taking on exciting new ventures in Tennessee.
If you’re in the area, come stop by and say hi at Tumalo Home. We’d love to show you around our new office and connect about your next project. Here’s to new chapters, both here at home and in the South!
A new styling trick I’m saving for fall: rugs as tablecloths. 🤎 I spotted this idea recently and thought it was pure genius. It instantly gives the table depth, texture, and that layered, Ralph Lauren autumn vibe.
Think about it: rugs already bring so much to a room... pattern, color, and weight. And those same elements translate beautifully to a tablescape.
The heavy weave adds richness, the fringe or edges create movement, and the bold motifs make even the simplest table feel collected and intentional.
I’m picturing this for a fall or winter dinner party layered with candles, copper accents, and seasonal branches...
Saving this inspo for sure. Would you try it?

Pinch-me moment! Our Tumalo Ranch project has been featured in @homesandgardensofficial!
It feels so full circle that this home is being celebrated in such a beautiful publication right as we’re preparing to say goodbye to it. This ranch has been one of the most meaningful projects we’ve ever worked on... not only because of the design, but because it’s been our family’s home. To see it captured and shared on a platform like this is incredibly special.
The Homes & Gardens team did a beautiful job telling the story of this house, its quirks, its character, and how we turned what was once a fixer into a place full of warmth and layers.
We’re so grateful they saw what we’ve felt here all along.
Comment TOUR to take the full look (we’ll send you the link to the digital feature!) and see why this home will forever hold a piece of our hearts.
Tumalo Ranch, you’ve been everything.

Putting the ranch to sleep for the last time... There’s something about a soft glow that makes a home feel warm, inviting, and alive even after dark. These little lights line the driveway and instantly transform the whole mood of coming home.
Comment ‘LIGHTS’ and I’ll send you the link. They’re solar-powered, under $50, and such an easy upgrade you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner!
