Shop The Look- Brookside Kitchen

The kitchen at the Brookside Loop project turned out oh. so. good … better than we could ever have imagined! We added lots of character by using bold paint on existing cabinetry and aged brass hardware. We also refreshed all hard materials, which included quartz and butcher block countertops, subway tile backsplash, and stainless steel appliances. Then we layered those finishes with accents of white oak chairs, a Carrara marble table and simple white dishes. Check out these items to get this look!

1

Pendant Light

This a great look for the price! It's a dupe from another designer fixture and I honestly can't tell the difference. If you are wanting to add some drama over your kitchen or breakfast nook table, this one will not disappoint. It's classic black and brass finish complements so many palettes. I would equally love it in an all white kitchen too. And no, white kitchens are NOT going out of style!

Marble Top Table

The cutest little bistro table. It's classic design with the Carrara marble top and iron base was perfect for the Brookside eat-in kitchen. We didn't have a lot of space so we added the banquette for extra seating and a couple accent chairs for the new owners to sit down for a cup of coffee or a simple meal. It's only 36" in diameter so it makes for a great accent in any kitchen nook.

Chairs

In my opinion, a wishbone style chair works in so many styles of interiors. It's a classic with a twist. You can incorporate it in a super modern home for something unexpected or a transitional home to bring clean and simple lines to a space. We used a warm wood to add depth to the kitchen and tie into the warmth of the hardwood flooring.

Sconces

These midcentury inspired sconces added a more contemporary vibe to the floating shelves- and at night it lit them up so beautifully. Whenever and wherever you can add sconce lighting in a kitchen- I'm all for it! Even if it's one over a small shelf or ledge to display something pretty. It's all about making your kitchen feel like the rest of your home!

Dishes

I personally own these dishes, they are our everyday dishes. They have a beautiful creamy white hue that go with everything on the table you set them on. Arranging them on open shelves is an easy styling hack... they look great anywhere and don't distract from the rest of the kitchen's finishes. AND, they are super practical. Go get these- you will be glad to have a couple sets on hand for your next gathering!
6

Glassware

Okaaaay, so these are pretty awesome in that they fit pretty much any standard water glass. And, they are so functional, keeping glasses from sweating and keep hands from freezing with icy cold drinks. They are textural and quite honestly, just GOOD for any open shelving in a kitchen.

Rustic Brass Hardware

These pulls are hands down one of our faves! We have them in our own home and they give every space we have used them in a rustic yet classic vibe to any cabinet. Cabinet hardware can TRANSFORM your kitchen- if there's one upgrade to make to refresh your cabinets it's hardware. Trust us.

We’ve shared a lot about the move, but this next chapter is about what comes after. The messy middle and the part where we start creating again.
Our new house in Tennessee is officially under renovation, and we’re bringing you behind the scenes! Every step, every decision, every layer. This home will be a space where we can show more of what we do day-to-day: the design process, our approach to renovating, and the details that make a house feel like a home.
Client projects are still the heart of what we do, but home renovations have always been the other side of our story. From #HighDesertTumaloRanch to this new #SixthStreetBungalow home, we’ve learned that the process matters just as much as the final reveal.
We’ll be sharing more here and even deeper tutorials and stories over on YouTube (link in bio- our first video for this project will be hitting our channel soon). From design breakdowns to sourcing tips to the real BTS that doesn’t make it to Instagram.
Here’s to new beginnings, familiar chaos, and a home that is inspiring + testing us all over again.

We just moved, so my usual decor stash is slim (I’m knee deep in demo and boxes!), but when I’m in a pinch I will lie magnolia branches together down the center of a table for instant ambience and a festive touch.
